Dear Rella,
I am the proud and lucky owner of a Maltese, Sophie, and a Bischon, Harvey. You will adore your Maltese. They have wonderful personalities. They are a little like cats. They groom themselves (and other dogs!) and sometimes they will leave you alone and just take care of themselves; they are very loving and very loyal; they bark at intruders; they are playful and love to give kisses. Sometimes too many kisses. They are very snuggly and that fur is just like silk. They are "givers" rather than "takers." I am generalizing from my Maltese but I just adore her. She was a little hard to train and I have heard that from other Maltese owners.

Your baby is just adorable and reminds me of Soph as a puppy. You are in for a wonderful time! You must take many pictures of your little dear one to show us!!!

Big hugs,
Suz
