NOW IT'S TIME FOR SOMETHING PRETTY

So the visiting snake creeped a few folks out

understandable

I will replace that image in your head with something prettier to look at

A bit of sweetness and fun

I've been playing with dolls again

This one was so fun to make that I am now doing another

a little different, but the same overall fru-fru Marie-doll

She is a few layers of paper, embellished with vintage ribbon, silk chiffon, glitter,
and mohair for her wig.

Now, the problem I have with paper dolls is that I want them to stand up, all the time.

So I took a fabulous cork that had a wooden top that I could use for a base.

Slicing a good sized slit in the cork I then painted it gold.

Then, of course, that was a bit boring, so it needed to be glitzed up so a few flowers helped.

Off she went.........another swap completed that was just too fun.

Now I am making another one!!! Totally addicting......and another swap.

Better than snakes, right???

I'm debating on whether to talk snakes or paper dolls...the question of the evening. I guess the snake has a right to his corner of the world too...I'm scared out of my wits when I see them but in computer land, I'm pretty safe!
I went to an antique show yesterday and bought THAT GIRL paper dolls. I'm just like you, I want them to stand up and be counted!
Good night my new friend from Jacqueline at Once Upon a Fairyland.

Oh Rella, she is so pretty. She almost looks 3D. The crown is the perfect touch.
