A STORM BLEW IN ON SUNDAY

This time of year, that is not the typical day.

Note the blue, blue sky........
It makes the storm seem even more ominous
But it was lovely. Hail, rain.....a bit of wind.
OVER.

I grabbed my camera and headed out the front door looking for
the rainbow that usually follows.

.....none was to be found.. this time.

But I wanted to share the wee storm with you

And the retreat of PIA..........

into her 'safe house'

that I created with a simple box,

a folded quilt

and a wrap of fabric to slightly cover the opening.

She runs for it at the first clap of thunder.........

scootching down so low as she runs that her belly fur practically drags the floor.

....or the first ring of the doorbell..........

....or when Mr. J. plays the chase game.........
(the rule is that if she runs in there he cannot bother her...)

and each evening just before it's time for me to go to bed.

The Safe House sits outside
my bedroom and that is where
she prefers to relax as I head in for the night.

She has MY routine down so well that she
heads to her safe house about five minutes
before I begin to head in.

On the nights I alter my routine just a bit...

she does NOT.

She is there as if to say: "Do you know what time it is?"

She always looks kind of spooky!!!

Great cloud photos. My kitty freaks out every time a certain commercial comes on TV that has a doorbell. I have to tell her it's just the television.

Oh Rella,
Your posts always move me. The storm photos OMG... I can't be the only one to see the face, head and neck. Feel free not to add this comment to your blog, I just wanted to share with you what I see. xo Connie

Connie,
You are referring to the top photo...and no, you are not alone in seeing the 'sculpture' in the clouds. Thank you, both for your visit after the storm.
