WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO

AN EXCITING INVITATIONAL
TO BE PART OF A THEATER TROUPE

The amazing and talented CATHERINE MOORE

has gathered a group to join her
in a theater making adventure

and I am on board
and having a blast

The first step was to decide what to transform into the 'theater'

I looked around the nest and had many possibilities

but on a tour of the local Ross, I found this sad little cabinet.
Well, sad to the casual observer, but I almost squealed out loud when I came upon
it in the clearance isle.

Hinge twisted and door missing the knob.

Marked down to $8 plus change. I knew instantly this was perfect and I didn't want the door on it to begin with!!

Up to the counter I go, stepping outside my usual nature, I ask for a larger discount as CLEARLY this was in sad shape. (amusing myself as I had nothing to lose......I was buying it regardless)

Another 20% later I am practically skipping to my car.

Home with my find I head to the tool box to gather my small Phillips to get that door off.
Not a difficult feat.

Take the drawer out.........turn upside down.

PERFECT.

And that is how it started.

CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE IT???

I have more to show you later
fabric and frou frou

such fun.

And you thought I was just hiding in my nest
day dreaming..................

well, I guess I HAVE been.

What an incredible find!!! After you mentioned it, I have been looking around with no luck on anything like this. I have settled on the little suitcase idea and have been gesso-ing it up to prep the outside for some type of enhancement. Now, I just need to determine the color scheme. I look forward to see your progress on this piece!!
