A recent exchange

in my Marie Antoinette Mail Art group

has to be one of my favorites

A Tussie Mussie

There were no restrictions, really

so no one felt 'boxed in'

leaving plenty of room for the creative muse to take over

My partner was Terri Gordon 

her work is nothing less than exquisite

no matter what she creates

But this time it was for MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

It is luscious

with an antique feel to it

Terri used the most beautiful laces

ribbons, and vintage trims

I have ever seen

As soon as I opened it 

I knew exactly where it would hang

and up it went.  

Now I pass it many times a day

and just smile.

It's wonderful to be surrounded by 

so many beautiful items

made by such talented hands and hearts.

That is the wonderful collection 

of artisans on this very special art group.

This is what I created for Terri

layers of text, dyed gauze, laces, ribbons

embellished with paper roses 

rhinestones

and blinged out flowers

a very fru-fru pink bird 

sitting in a golden nest

top it off.

Truly one of the best swaps on our group.

Although I think I say that every time........

because it's always true.
